Who will benefit from doing a CPR and Low Voltage Rescue course?

This course is for any person who is working in an electrotechnology workplace who is required to assist in low voltage rescue or cardiopulmonary resuscitation.



Many of our students work in the electrical industry or in an environment where they are exposed to low voltage electrical environments such as building, construction, manufacturing, maintenance, mining, or service industries.

HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.


This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

UETDRMP007 - Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus in an electricity supply industry (ESI) environment. This does not include overhead lines and underground cables.


It includes the organisational workplace requirements for the inspection and use of live LV panel rescue equipment, and how it applies to ESI workers to meet work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS), mobility and mutual aid requirements.

On successful completion of this course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for nationally accredited modules.

FAQs about the CPR/LVR course

  • How long does an LVR CPR Certificate last?

    Your LVR CPR Certificate is valid for 12 months.

  • Are there any prerequisites required for my LVR CPR Course?

    Yes.  The LVR certification requires you to have a statement of attainment for:

    • UEECD0007  – Apply work health and safety regulations codes and practices in the workplace

    OR

    • UETDREL006 – Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker

    Please note that if you hold an existing ESI or Electrotechnology qualification or equivalent then you meet the prerequisite requirements.


  • How do I register for my LVR CPR course?

    You can register here for the upcoming course date of your choice.

  • Do you guarantee a pass for the course?

    We take safety very seriously here at Safetylec and for that reason we will only pass students who we deem as competent so passing is not guaranteed however, we will give you all the information and support you need.
