WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Any person who, in the course of their duties, may be required to operate a Portable Fire Extinguisher.

Eg. Managers, supervisory staff, team leaders, safety representatives, WHS committee members, safety officers and WHS Coordinators

AIM

To provide participants, with a basic understanding of types and operational use of Portable Fire Extinguishers.

OBJECTIVES

On successful completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Explain the Fire Triangle
  • Identify types of fire
  • Identify types of Portable Fire Extinguishers
  • Successfully select the right type of Extinguisher to use
  • Identify Standard Fire Orders

 Upon successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment.
