WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Any person who, in the course of their duties may be required to operate a Portable Fire Extinguisher. Managers, supervisory staff, team leaders, safety representatives, OH&S committee members, safety officers and OH&S Coordinators.

AIM

To provide participants, with a basic understanding of types and operational use of Portable Fire Extinguishers.

On completion of this course you should be able to:

  • Explain the Fire Triangle
  • Identify types of fire
  • Identify types of Portable Fire Extinguishers
  • Successfully select the right type of Extinguisher to use
  • Identify Standard Fire Orders

Upon successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment.
